Fouronnes is only  2.5 hrs south of Paris. It takes 5 mins. to drive to the small town of Courson-les-Carriers where there is a small supermarket, baker, pharmacy, garage, and a couple of bars. These are the nearest shops. There are other market towns, a little further away at the edge of the Morvan and on the Nivernais Canal as well as the river Yonne. One of them is Clamecy. The Morvan is a fabulous national park for walking and swimming in it’s many lakes.
